Overview:
We're looking for a seasoned and forward-thinking Senior Product Leader / Senior Project Manager to drive the strategic direction, development, and deployment of advanced in-store technologies, including Point of Sale (POS), Kitchen Display Systems (KDS), and payment platforms, across multiple restaurant brands. This individual will play a vital role in enhancing the guest and team member experience by evolving the tools that power our operations. The right candidate will have a robust background in product leadership, particularly in the Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) industry, and will have successfully delivered complex POS solutions from concept to launch.

Job Scope:

  • Partner closely with internal departments, external tech collaborators, and solution vendors to coordinate successful rollouts and integration efforts.

  • Manage all phases of the product lifecycle-from discovery and planning through execution, budgeting, and delivery tracking-for POS, KDS, and payments.

  • Oversee the flow of data between POS systems and external applications, ensuring robust and scalable integrations.

  • Support the structuring and maintenance of menu-related data systems by collaborating with cross-functional teams such as Menu Operations and Technology.

  • Craft a long-term vision and actionable roadmap for POS-related technologies that align with overarching business goals.

  • Act as the primary point of contact for vendor-side product teams, ensuring alignment on development timelines, feature sets, and overall execution strategy.

  • Write detailed user stories, collaborate with engineering leaders on story refinement, and guide backlog prioritization across both internal and vendor-led teams.

  • Define system performance standards and establish clear Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Observability metrics for system reliability.

  • Promote user-centered design principles to ensure that solutions are intuitive and efficient for restaurant staff and guests alike.

  • Govern third-party vendor relationships, ensuring timelines, scope, deliverables, and contractual terms are met.

  • Coordinate cross-functional delivery teams and maintain alignment with vendor management on team composition and project delivery expectations.

  • Contribute to broader product strategy and lend support to other initiatives as required.


Requirements:

  • Over 10 years of product management experience, including significant leadership roles.

  • A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience managing enterprise Point of Sale (POS) systems (Qu, Aloha, Toast, Clover, etc.) , particularly within Quick Service Restaurants (QSR) environments.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

  • Familiarity with cloud-native POS platforms and SaaS delivery models.

  • Proven ability to connect POS technologies with operational reporting and backend systems.

  • Solid experience with Agile practices and iterative product development.

  • Demonstrated strength in leading cross-functional teams and managing complex stakeholder landscapes.

  • Exceptional communication skills-both verbal and written.

  • Data-driven decision-maker with a knack for turning insights into actionable priorities.

  • Strong grasp of the technology landscape in quick-service dining and the ability to shape strategic direction accordingly.
