This role will provide Systems Engineering and Integration (SE&I) capabilities to NASA/Johnson Space Center in support of the EVA Development Project Office of the EVA and Human Surface Mobility Program (EHP). Serve as SE&I Requirements, Interface, and Verification (RIV) office integration lead to the Artemis enterprise.
This is a full-time position based in El Segundo, CA, or Houston, TX at the Johnson Space Center , offering a hybrid work model that combines 3-4 regular onsite workdays and remote flexibility as the business needs allow .

What You'll Be Doing
- Support the development of SE&I processes and products.
- Manage EVA Development requirements, including inputs and traceability.
- Manage the Artemis EVA insight team.
- Work with the EHP SE&I Cross-Stakeholder Integration (CSI) team to support the Human Landing System (HLS) and Gateway programs.
- Serve as the EVA Development Project representative to the HLS and Gateway IPTs, and backup representative to the Lunar Terrain Vehicle (LTV) and Pressurized Rover (PR) panels and configuration boards.
- Coordinate/own Artemis-related risks.
- Provide Artemis schedule integration.
- Provide direction to the Artemis EVA Insight (AEI) Team.
- Provide Exploration EVA Services (xEVAS) certification management for Artemis Demo and Services.
- Provide guidance with contractual/programmatic discussions related to testing, report on schedule, define/update roles, and responsibilities of the test teams.
What You Need to be Successful
Minimum Requirements for the Project Engineer- Systems Engineering
- Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, science, or another related STEM area
- At least 6 years of increasingly responsible professional engineering/scientific experience
- Knowledge and understanding of the NASA program life cycle and system engineering processes
- Knowledge and understanding of systems engineering, including requirements, interfaces, verifications, and integrated performance for spaceflight hardware
- Ability to effectively utilize oral and written communication to express technical concepts and recommendations to personnel at all technical and managerial levels
- Ability to work in various SE&I functions in a quick-paced, small core team that leads technical discussions across a large EVA community
- Innovation, creativity, and initiative
- This position may require ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, which is issued by the U.S. government. U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.
In addition to the above, the minimum requirements for the Senior Project Engineer- Systems Engineering include :
- At least 10 years of increasingly responsible professional engineering/scientific experience
- Knowledge of EVA systems and current technology
