Description & Requirements

We are seeking an experienced Management Consultant to provide program management and executive advisory support for a Department of Defense (DoD) initiative. This role will support the Chief Software Modernization (CSM) office, focusing on oversight and thought leadership for tasks related to software modernization, cloud initiatives, and IT Category Management. The ideal candidate will leverage their expertise to drive policy development, technical guidance, and strategic recommendations across the Department.

Responsibilities:
Enhance and maintain program management processes, ensuring updated procedures and capabilities.
Track tasks, monitor priorities, and provide progress updates to executive leadership.
Analyze policies, architectures, and technical designs to align with CSM and DCIO(IE) priorities.
Develop recommendations, white papers, strategies, and briefings to support decision-making.
Conduct cost and budget analysis to inform the PPBE process and DoD financial decisions.
Facilitate cross-department collaboration, ensuring high-quality deliverables aligned with strategic goals.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in a related field (4 years of relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of the degree requirement)
10+ years of relevant experience, including leadership roles.
Proven ability to manage high-impact assignments and lead initiatives.
Expertise in policy development, technical analysis, and strategic recommendations.
Exceptional communication skills, with experience preparing executive-level briefings and reports.

Desired Skills & Qualifications:
Experience supporting DoD programs related to software modernization, cloud, or IT Category Management.
Familiarity with DoD governance processes, including CATMS and DCIO(IE) initiatives.
Strong collaboration and facilitation skills with diverse stakeholders.

Pay Transparency

Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards. Additionally, Maximus provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
