We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Project Engineer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on complex and challenging projects in the engineering industry, focusing on bridge and roadway construction. The successful candidate will have a hands-on role in all aspects of project execution, from initial planning through to completion. This role requires a strong understanding of Heavy Civil Construction Superintendent's duties, permit and permitting processes, job scheduling, reading plans and blueprints, traffic control, RFI, and concrete works.

Job Details

As a Permanent Project Engineer, you will:

1. Lead and manage all aspects of bridge and roadway construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
2. Oversee and coordinate the permitting process, ensuring all necessary permits are obtained in a timely manner.
3. Develop and maintain project schedules, keeping all stakeholders informed of progress and any potential delays.
4. Review and interpret plans and blueprints, ensuring all work is carried out to specification.
5. Manage traffic control measures to ensure the safety of workers and the public during construction.
6. Handle RFI (Request for Information) process, providing clear and concise responses to queries from contractors, clients, or other stakeholders.
7. Oversee all concrete works, ensuring quality and compliance with project specifications.
8. Collaborate with project teams, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
9. Identify and resolve any issues or obstacles that may arise during the project lifecycle.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, you will need:

1. A bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role, with a focus on bridge and roadway construction.
3. Proven experience as a Heavy Civil Construction Superintendent.
4. Strong knowledge of permit and permitting processes.
5. Excellent job scheduling skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
6. Proficiency in reading and interpreting plans and blueprints.
7. Experience in traffic control and safety management.
8. Familiarity with RFI processes and procedures.
9. Extensive knowledge of concrete works, including mixing, pouring, and curing.
10. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
11. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think on your feet and make effective decisions under pressure.
