Job Summary
We seek a Full Stack programmer facile with web-based design. The ideal candidate will be facile with React for front-end development and Python and/or C# .NET for back-end development. Some interest or familiarity with RPA skills is beneficial but not required. The person in this position works autonomously and under the supervision of the Principal Investigator for ongoing data collection projects. The programmer works as part of a dynamic group dedicated to faculty, clinical, and academic work, where professionalism, adaptability, intelligence, and collegiality are prized. Our current electronic programs span the range from data collection, data presentation, generated reports, data processing, and database expansion. They also include web-based, secure interfaces, as well as working with APIs and interface with HER. Beyond these primary roles, this position will also include interfacing with other team members, including data managers, informaticians, biostatisticians, epidemiologists, and project coordinators to support ongoing clinical, epidemiological, and academic research projects.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Develops and designs databases which can interface with electronic health systems and secure web-based interfaces
2. Updates and developed web-based front-end systems to optimize UI/UX.
3. Performs programming to optimize data intake, curation, reporting, and maintenance
4. Develops programs which maintain network resiliency and ensure data integrity
5. Supports complex data capture, including some system administration
6. Develops and maintains SOPs for data collection, data management, and reporting procedures for the program and for specific projects.
7. Developed and maintains detailed written documentation of planned updates, created programs, and user functions for users and staff.
8. Adapts programs for optimization based on user feedback.
9. If needed, performs ongoing data checks and cleaning, especially during programming phases, and generates queries of potential data errors or inconsistencies and works with the project managers/coordinators and hospital staff to resolve issues.
10. Assists in the writing and preparation of reports, including internal documentation, describing programming performed.
11. Contributes to interim and final project reports, including those for the data safety monitoring board (DSMB), and provides data-related input for new proposals and manuscripts.
12. Contribution to collegial, productive, kaizen, mutually beneficial, and good-hearted culture of the already established team
13. Programs with sufficient skill to support independent project work
14. Performs all other duties as assigned.
15. This is a per diem position with the potential to expand hours if the candidate is successful. Skills - Full stack programmer skills - Web-based design facility - UI/UX capabilities - Database skills - Facility with React for front-end development - Facility with Python and/or C# .NET for engine/back-end development - Organized with initiative and an innate desire to work as part of an established data management team. - Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. - Ready understanding of requested platform needs which warrant updates - Excellent interpersonal and oral and written communication skills, flexibility, and ability to interact with a diverse and large research team including physician investigators, statisticians, bioinformaticians, and research assistants. - Fundamental knowledge of data management - Familiarity with medical terminology and clinical/healthcare work is preferred

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in computer science required.

2-3 years of related work experience required.

1-2 years of related full stack programming experience.

Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively

Timely completion of programming milestones

Productive interactions with investigators, biostatisticians, informaticians, and research staff to accomplish project goals.
