Responsible for the design, engineering, deployment, and maintenance of high-availability and secure Enterprise Information Technology network systems and services for our Classified Network Environments. Expected to engineer, implement, and maintain automation technologies and infrastructure as code (IaC) services to support network hardware, virtual, container based, and commercial cloud hosted environments. Work includes technical planning (cost, capacity, logistics), architecture, design, implementation, configuration management, maintenance, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and monitoring of network services and solutions.

The Enterprise Assurance Strategic Capabilities Unit delivers critical assurance disciplines that protect and enable people, data and missions. We provide a comprehensive approach to managing risk across the enterprise for current and future information environments where the business and missions execute. We apply the use of innovative tools and robust processes to ensure mission and business success.

What You'll Do:
  • Responsible for the Engineering of Enterprise Information Technology networking systems and services in support of Engineering, Software Development, and corporate initiatives.
  • Planning and administration of IT infrastructure to meet ever-changing business requirements and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the services.
  • Researching and providing recommendations for advanced networking technologies.
  • Participate in developing and documenting policies and procedures for consistent infrastructure management, methodologies, and standards.
  • Work directly with Software Developers and Engineers to provide sustainable and scalable Enterprise Platforms and Services.
  • Participate in the Software Development Lifecycle and Engineering processes to meet diverse and complex Information Technology needs.
  • Develop and Apply network management policies and processes through automation and advanced technologies.
  • Deploy and Maintain Enterprise Infrastructure network services including configuration management, authentication, licensing, and security services.
  • Administering the strategy for the operations and support of the IT network infrastructure.
  • Coordinating physical environment usage and planning across geographies (data centers, labs, remote offices).
  • Provide input into how costs are measured, tracked, and reported.
  • Develop detailed design of hardware and software infrastructure to meet architecture, project development and QOS requirements.
  • Administering network hardware and NOS build standards including.
  • Implementing and Enforcing security policies for protecting data and shared network resources in accordance with established Governance.
  • Maintain and Enforce the Configuration and Change Management of Enterprise Systems through monitoring, documentation, and internal corporate processes.
  • Regular preventative maintenance (daily, weekly, monthly).
  • Troubleshooting and triage of complex problems to avoid extended costly down time and service outages.
  • Root cause analysis utilizing analytical problem solving to provide long term problem resolution.
  • Creating key performance indicators and metrics reports.
  • Providing cost and chargeback reporting to management and customers based on established costing and charging policies.
  • Prepare and present technical content to peers/management/customers.
  • Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
  • Perform other duties as necessary.
On-Site Work Environment: This position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site five days each normally scheduled week in the primary work location. Travel and local commute between company campuses and other possible non-company locations may be required.

Working Conditions:
  • Work is performed in an office, laboratory, production floor, or cleanroom, outdoors or remote research environment.
  • May occasionally work in production work centers where use of protective equipment and gear is required.
  • May access other facilities in various weather conditions.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
  • BS degree or higher in Engineering or a related technical field is required plus 5 or more years related experience.
  • Each higher-level degree, i.e., Master's Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience. Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
  • A current, active TS/SCI security clearance and DOD 8570 Requirements is required as well as ability to obtain a TS/SCI CI Polygraph security clearance.
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas:
    • Cisco IOS
    • Nexus OS
    • Palo Alto GUI
    • Juniper OS
    • F5 Load-balancers
    • Training of IT personnel
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to contribute to the success of small teams through excellent teamwork.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Active CI Polygraph.
  • Experience working in a Classified Network Environment.
  • Experience in related disciplines such as network engineering, change management, integration, configuration/data management.
  • Knowledge of security requirements such as DISA STIGs.
  • Knowledge of network performance monitoring tools such as SolarWinds.

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $105500 - $130750

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
