The Civil Engineer position will include responsibility for the TECHNICAL COMPLETION of civil engineering projects and work activities such as municipal market, residential design, site work development and other civil design projects as needed. The Civil Engineer must be able to participate with multi-disciplined engineering teams in the completion of projects in a timely manner and within budgets. Local, regional and national travel for the purposes of documenting existing conditions is an applicable part of the job.

Job Details:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Site Civil Engineer to join our team. This role is ideal for a highly motivated individual with a strong background in civil engineering. As a Site Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for various construction projects, site development, grading, drainage, and utilities. You will also be involved in geotechnical analysis, soil testing, foundation design, stormwater management, hydrology, and erosion control. This role requires a deep understanding of land development, zoning, site planning, topographic surveys, mapping, and utility design.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of civil engineering projects from conception to completion.
  • Ensure compliance with land development, zoning, and site planning regulations.
  • Conduct geotechnical analysis, soil testing, and foundation design.
  • Implement stormwater management, hydrology, and erosion control measures.
  • Coordinate with project managers, construction managers, and other professionals.
  • Evaluate site constructability and design efficient utility systems.
  • Ensure all projects adhere to safety standards and building regulations.
  • Produce technically sound constructible designs through applying survey data and geotechnical reports.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil engineering, specifically in site development, grading, drainage, and utilities.
  • Extensive knowledge of geotechnical analysis, soil testing, foundation design, stormwater management, hydrology, and erosion control.
  • Familiarity with land development, zoning, site planning, topographic surveys, and mapping.
  • Comprehensive understanding of utility design.
  • Proven experience as a field engineer, project engineer, construction engineer, or similar role.
  • NCEES certification is a plus.
