Job Description

The Sr. Project Specialist DHE, reporting to the Director of Diversity Hiring Enablement will build and establish relationships that enhances AbbVie's end-to-end attraction to the hire process, expanding our early career talent pipeline AND increasing diversity and representation at all levels.
  • Represent and serve as a primary point of contact for key stakeholders with emphasis on Hispanic-Serving Institutions (HSIs) and an additional point of contact for Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).
  • Build inclusive relationships with HBCUs and HSIs to amplify diversity in our early career programs and foster a pipeline of diverse talent in partnership with the early talent pipeline team.
  • Assist with event planning for major enterprise diversity conferences and serves as the on-site conference workstream lead aiding in the tactical execution of the events.
  • Guide and support cross-functional teams to attract and retain a diverse and inclusive workforce, including underrepresented groups, through targeted recruitment strategies and partnerships. This also includes fostering employee engagement, collaboration and teamwork.
  • Develop measurable objectives to track progress, anticipate risks in talent initiatives. Use data to make informed decisions regarding hiring opportunities aligning with enterprise talent initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the Director with budget forecasting and allocation to ensure they align with business needs and outcomes.
  • Collaborate on a communication strategy supporting EEDI efforts. This includes the development of fliers, brochures and e-communications.

Qualifications

  • 4 years+ of experience in diversity, equity and inclusion, talent acquisition, and/or university relations.
  • 3 years+ of experience working with collegiate administrators, deans, faculty and students.
  • Broad multi-stakeholder experience.
  • Experience working in mid-to-large global and matrix organizations in a complex work environment.
  • Demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment.
  • Proven track record of leading and implementing large-scale programs and projects.
  • High organization and detail orientation with a successful track record of executing initiatives from start to finish.
  • Ability to influence people without direct authority to achieve solutions.
  • Effectively use data to tell a story or create a narrative for change.
  • Preference for East Coast or Central US Locations

Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range.   • This job is eligible to participate in our short-term incentive programs.
