Description
We are seeking an Application Support Engineer to join our team in the manufacturing industry, based in Houston, Texas. This role offers a long term contract employment opportunity, where you will primarily act as an application owner, ensuring applications are patched and updated properly. Responsibilities:
Acting as a primary owner of multiple applications, ensuring their proper functioning and maintenance.
Handling support tickets efficiently and effectively to resolve issues.
Ensuring applications are updated and patched in a timely manner to avoid any potential system interruptions.
Coordinating with the application vendor for any modifications that need to be handled externally.
Utilizing ServiceNow for ticketing and project management tasks.
Providing Tier 1 through 4 support, escalating issues to the application vendor when necessary.
Following the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for any updates or patches, acting as a Project Manager when required.
Rotating application focus periodically to ensure all systems are adequately supported.
Gaining experience in supporting specific systems such as Leakdoss and Limb systems.
Collaborating effectively with a team of 12 members with varying levels of experience in application support.
Requirements
Demonstrated proficiency in Application Support
Proven experience with Project Management
Proficiency in ServiceNow Application
Familiarity with ServiceNow ITSM
Experience with Ticketing Systems
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
Excellent problem-solving abilities
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes
Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
Strong attention to detail
Experience in the Manufacturing industry preferred.
