IT Consultant - Exchange Administrator
$56.73/hr w2 + benefits
Long term contract-to-hire position.
Onsite Hybrid 3 days per week- All candidates need to be able to work onsite at least 3 days a week in one of the following locations - Woodlands TX, New Orleans LA, Jackson MS, or Little Rock AR.

The specific compensation for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. Job Purpose:
- A core function of the IT Consultant - Exchange/O365 Administrator provides management, oversight and maintenance over the Exchange environment supporting a robust cross-functional userbase of 15K+ users (looking for someone who has worked with this size userbase in the past).
- The Exchange/O365 environment is critical to the successful operations across client and the Exchange Administrator plays a crucial role not only in the maintenance of the environment, but also in its future-state planning and management.
- Minimum education required of the position.
- BS/BA degree strongly preferred. Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or other technical area of study preferred;
- 6 plus years of experience as an Exchange Administrator or similar role
- Relevant Microsoft certifications are a plus (Microsoft MCSA, MCSE, Microsoft 365 Certified Administrator Expert)
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Exchange Server
- Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory and Azure
- Experience with PowerShell scripting for automation and administration
- Working knowledge of email security standards and practices
- Understanding of network fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS and firewalls
- Specific and direct experience with at least one ticketing system (Service Now, Remedy, HEAT, etc.)
- Familiarity with business operations and best in class technology landscape
- Experience monitoring end user hardware for vulnerabilities and compliance
Professional:
- Ability to perform daily responsibilities to manage and maintain Microsoft Exchange servers and related infrastructure, both on-premises and in M365 Exchange Online
- Ability to troubleshoot, with cross-functional teams, Microsoft Exchange issues and escalations
- Review regular system monitoring, verifying completion of scheduled jobs
- Provide tier 2 and 3 support for Exchange and messaging related issues
- Assist users with email configuration, access issues and troubleshooting
- Maintain user accounts, distribution groups, resources and permissions
- Implement and manage email security protocols
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to create and articulate technical concepts to non-technical users
- Ability to work effectively with teams and resources in a multi-location, cross-functional, network/matrix environment
- Ability to leverage continuous improvement practices to provide sustainable value to internal/external customers
- Excellent multi-tasking and time management skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Ability to perform problem analysis, logically organize and prepare technical documentation, and effectively communicate

- Perform daily responsibilities to manage and Microsoft Exchange and supporting infrastructure, both on-premise and online via M365
- Responsible for escalations in support of customer/team escalations or related incidents
- Assist in the design and implementation of future-state Exchange environment
- Responsible to provide required system reporting (audit, performance, etc)
- Responsible to provide problem resolution, root cause analysis, management and documentation of all Messaging related issues
- These positions may be filled in The Woodlands TX, New Orleans LA, Jackson MS, or Little Rock AR. Hybrid Position - 3 days per week onsite one week, then 2 days per week onsite the next week alternating.
