Job Details

We are seeking a highly motivated Mid-Level Computational Biologist with expertise in Quantitative Systems Pharmacology (QSP) and a strong background in PK/PD modeling and physiologically-based pharmacokinetic (PBPK) modeling. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to groundbreaking research, working on projects funded by the NIH, FDA, DoD and pharma. The successful candidate will work in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment, contributing to the development of cutting-edge computational models that integrate biological and pharmacological data to support drug development and regulatory decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:
u2022 Develop and apply QSP models to investigate biological and pharmacological systems.
u2022 Develop and apply PK/PD modeling and PBPK modeling to support drug development, safety, and efficacy studies.
u2022 Collaborate with experimentalists, clinicians, and other computational scientists to design and interpret modeling studies.
u2022 Contribute to the preparation of scientific reports, presentations, and publications.
u2022 Stay current with advances in computational biology, pharmacology, and regulatory science to incorporate best practices and innovative approaches.

Qualifications:
u2022 PhD or Master's degree in Computational Biology, Pharmacology, Systems Biology, Engineering, or a related field.
u2022 2-5 years of experience in QSP modeling, PK/PD modeling, and/or PBPK modeling.
u2022 Proficiency with relevant software tools and programming languages (e.g., MATLAB, R, Python, BioGears).
u2022 Experience with data integration from various biological and clinical sources.
u2022 Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a multidisciplinary team.
u2022 Experience working on government-funded projects is a plus.

u2022 U.S. Citizenship is required.

Preferred Skills:
u2022 Expertise in model calibration, validation, and sensitivity analysis.
u2022 Familiarity with regulatory guidelines related to modeling and simulation.
u2022 Experience working with clinical trial data and preclinical studies.

Location: This role is based in the Huntsville, AL area, and is 100% onsite.
