In this rapidly evolving world, Leidos is always looking for new ways to disrupt the status quo, go to market faster, and optimize customer experiences. Our company is looking for a Google Cloud Platform Engineer to work with our engineering team to implement, maintain, and optimize our cloud-based systems. This role will work with a variety of IT professionals in our organization to ensure our cloud computing systems meet the needs of our business and customers. The main responsibility of this role is delivering complex solutions and cloud initiatives, as well as deploying and debugging systems.
Candidate MUST:
Be currently located in the United States for the current three consecutive years
Be or US Person () with the ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $104,650.00 - $189,175.00

Responsibilities:
- Design and deploy modular cloud-based systems
- Build Google Cloud Platform data-driven solutions for enterprise data warehouse and data lakes
- Ensure efficient data storage and process functions in accordance with security policies.
- Review existing systems and make recommendations for improvement
- Collaborate with clients to understand their business requirements and turn them into technical documentation and deliverables.
- Provide cloud support and recommendations
- Develop and maintain cloud solutions in keeping with our company's business needs and best practices.
- Identify and resolve infrastructure vulnerabilities and application deployment issues.
Basic Qualifications
- Active Public Trust Clearance or Ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance
- Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 8 years of technical experience. 4 additional years of experience considered in lieu of degree.
- 5+ years of experience with infrastructure as code development.
- 3+ years of direct hands-on experience with the Google Cloud Platform stack
- Experience building multi-tenant IaaS and PaaS cloud solutions
- Experience designing cloud solutions
- Experience using automation scripting languages such as Python, Ansible, or Bash
- Experience with SDLC and continuous delivery tool sets such as GitLab CI, JIRA, or comparable tools
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
