SAP Hybris Cloud Consultant 100% REMOTE (This position is fully remote and requires availability working PST hours (8:30am - 5:30pm) 6+ Months Overview:

  • We are currently looking for a Sr. Hybris Cloud Developer to assist our west coast based retail client with their upgrade to the latest version of SAP Commerce Cloud. The ideal candidate should possess experience in SAP Commerce Cloud migrations.
  • We are seeking an experienced Senior SAP Commerce Cloud Developer with 7+ years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and optimizing SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris) solutions. This role requires a CCV2 cloud-native mindset with expertise in SAP Commerce Cloud Version 2 (CCV2) tools such as Dynatrace, Kibana logs, and cloud monitoring tools. You will take technical ownership of the e-commerce platform, ensuring scalability, security, and high availability while integrating with enterprise systems.

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of hands-on experience in SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris) development, including Backoffice, SmartEdit, and OCC.
  • Must have a CCV2 cloud mindset with experience using Dynatrace, Kibana, SAP Cloud Portal, and cloud monitoring tools.
  • Expertise in Java, Spring Framework, Hibernate, and front-end technologies (JavaScript, Angular/React).
  • Strong experience in Solr search optimization, performance tuning, and high-traffic application scaling.
  • Experience with SAP Commerce Cloud APIs, web services (SOAP/REST), GraphQL, and microservices.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based architectures, Kubernetes, and containerized deployments.
  • Strong understanding of DevOps (Jenkins, Git, SonarQube, CI/CD automation).
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment with Jira/Confluence.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SAP Commerce Cloud Developer Certification is a plus.
  • Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA integration with SAP Commerce Cloud.
  • Experience with headless commerce, PWAs, and Spartacus storefront.
  • Background in B2B commerce, CPQ (Configure Price Quote), and complex product catalogs.

Responsibilities and required experience include: CCV2 Cloud-Native Development & Operations

  • Develop, deploy, and maintain SAP Commerce Cloud V2 (CCV2) solutions on public cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Platform).
  • Utilize Dynatrace, Kibana, SAP Cloud Portal, and CloudWatch to monitor, debug, and optimize system performance.
  • Implement auto-scaling, caching, and load-balancing strategies for high-traffic, enterprise-grade commerce solutions.
  • Work with SAP Commerce Cloud Backoffice, SmartEdit, OCC (Omni-Commerce Connect), and asynchronous processing.
  • Ensure efficient CI/CD pipeline management using SAP Cloud Portal, Git, and Jenkins.

Architecture & Development

  • Lead development efforts for SAP Commerce Cloud modules, including Product Content Management (PCM), Order Management (OMS), Promotions, and Personalization.
  • Optimize platform performance, indexing, caching, and query execution for improved response times and scalability.
  • Manage version upgrades, patches, and security enhancements for SAP Commerce Cloud. Integration & API Development
  • Develop and maintain RESTful APIs, GraphQL, microservices, and event-driven architectures for seamless omnichannel commerce.
  • Implement and maintain integrations with ERP (SAP S/4HANA), CRM (Salesforce), payment gateways, third-party logistics (3PL), and customer identity platforms (Auth0, SAP Customer Data Cloud).
  • Work with OAuth, SAML, JWT, and Single Sign-On (SSO) authentication mechanisms.

Technical Leadership & Best Practices

  • Provide technical leadership in SAP Commerce Cloud implementations, setting best practices for coding, security, and performance.
  • Conduct code reviews, mentor junior developers, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, UX designers, and product owners to align technical solutions with business goals.
  • Work with Agile/Scrum teams to manage development sprints and CI/CD pipelines.

Security, Compliance & Performance

  • Implement GDPR compliance, PCI security standards, and data privacy best practices within the e-commerce platform.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot production issues using Dynatrace, Kibana, and SAP Cloud tools.
  • Ensure cloud infrastructure optimization for SAP Commerce Cloud deployments on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
