Responsibilities

Provide support for adding new, and modifying existing, capabilities to data conditioning software. e position requires a solid understanding of security practices and policies as well as the customers A&A process. The selected individual will collaborate with other engineers and technical experts in providing improvements to our operational, test, integration, and development systems

Design and implement technical security controls, identify and remediate vulnerabilities.
Provide cybersecurity expertise and knowledge to software development and O&M teams.
Implement Plans of Actions and Milestones and ensure required vulnerability scans meet the standards required to obtain and maintain an ATO from the Authorizing Official.
Validate and verify system security requirements and establish system security designs for new and existing software and systems.
Identify and implement appropriate information security architectures and functionality to ensure uniform application of security policy and enterprise solutions.
Communicate with Program Managers and customer POCs when necessary, regarding Security issues of significant importance.
Participate in agile team activities as necessary.
Analyze and assess system implementation against multiple security compliance policies and recommend and implement enhancements.
Evaluate security solutions to ensure they meet customer specified requirements for processing information.
Evaluate the impact of new development on the operational security posture of the system.
Audit and assess system security configuration settings using common methodologies and tools.
Review system security audit logs and take corrective action as needed.
Qualifications

Required:

Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 6 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 3 years with PhD; 10 years in lieu of degree.
Experience in security systems engineering.
Able to collaborate effectively with a group of high performing, technical individuals, and possess ability to clearly communicate verbally and in writing.
Possess a general knowledge of Linux and Windows OSs.
Demonstrate experience with creating and validating evidence for A&A security controls.
TS SCI with poly
Desired:

Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
Possess a strong desire to learn and develop processes to improve the overall security of the environment.
Experience with enterprise security scanning tools
Able to work in an Agile environment using project sprints and Agile Boards.
Experience with Amazon Web Services cloud computing environments.
Experience performing reviews, technical security assessments of computing environments to identify points of vulnerability, non-compliance with established Information Assurance (IA) standards and regulations and recommend mitigation strategies.Target Salary Range

$135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
