About the role:

This position works independently to assist R&D engineers, scientists, and/or teams in the development and analysis of products, materials, processes, or equipment.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Develop concepts and accordingly construct prototypes/products from concepts.
  • Explore and propose creative solutions based on solid rationales and contribute to design and process concepts.
  • Organize, coordinate, and execute building and testing of prototypes/products per engineering instructions.
  • Assist project teams in establishing specifications, work instructions and quality standards.
  • Use internal resources and qualified external vendors to assist engineering teams to identify and obtain supplies and services.
  • Act as a resource to other employees.
  • Communicates project status to project teams.
  • Maintains detailed documentation through all phases of development, testing and analysis
  • Continuously improves process and work methodologies by interfacing with peers, engineers, and analyzing activities to improve workflow and work processes.
  • Documents test results and test reports by writing documents, reports, memos, change requests. Methods used are determined by approved procedures and standards.
  • Performs commissioning and maintenance of test equipment and fixtures
  • Sets up and performs testing on a variety of urology products
  • Works from schematics, engineering drawings, and written or verbal instructions.
  • Maintains a clean and organized workspace
Required qualifications:
  • 3 years of experience
  • Associate degree/equivalent, or an equivalent combination of education/work experience
