Mid-level IT Project Manager

TEKsystems is seeking a Project Manager for a client in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The ideal candidate should have 3-5 years of relevant experience and be capable of managing the entire project lifecycle from definition to implementation. Preferred qualifications include any SAFe certification and knowledge of agile practices. The role involves developing comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation across network, compute, storage, and cloud technologies with multiple vendors at various locations. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential, as is the ability to convey complex technical concepts in business terms. The candidate should excel in teamwork and interpersonal skills, be able to work effectively on cross-functional teams, and communicate with leadership. Experience in infrastructure and operations, such as previous roles as an application engineer or developer, is beneficial. Responsibilities include establishing communication plans, providing direction to project resources, ensuring effective change management, and preparing documentation, status reports, and budgets. Proficiency in MS Project, Visio, Excel, and Word is required.
