Job Description:

Ready for a challenge helping defend our country? Parsons is looking to add Senior Systems Engineers in support of the Missile Defense Agency. Our Systems Engineers work with the MDA and function as a technical, engineering, advisory, and management support.

Duties include:
  • Provide Systems Engineering expertise and knowledge
  • Identify, analyze, and document system, design, interface, assessment, and validation/verification requirements to include risk assessments
  • Provide Prime Contractor proposal technical evaluation and analysis
  • Collaborate across the MDA organization (including multinational exchanges)
  • Present technical information to MDA Leadership at various levels

Required Skills:
  • Bachelors degree in a STEM program and 7+ years of experience in Systems Engineering or related work
  • Working knowledge of design, interface, assessment, and validation/verification requirements from a Systems Engineering perspective
  • Familiarity with missile and/or interceptor weapon system components and performance
  • Ability to present complex information and concepts to leaders at various levels
  • Ability to work independently within a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Ability to work across organizational boundaries
  • Self-starter with willingness to learn
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Access)
  • Active Secret security clearance; ability to obtain/maintain Top Secret security clearance as required

Desired Skills:
  • Masters degree in a STEM program and 12+ years of experience in Systems Engineering or related work
  • Working knowledge of MDA Systems Engineering processes and procedures
  • Working knowledge of BMD Weapon Systems or C2BMC
  • Working knowledge of Missile Defense System architecture and concepts
  • Working knowledge of Foreign Military Sales (FMS) requirements
  • Working knowledge MBSE and related tools
  • Working knowledge threat characterization, trajectories, RF sensing/signatures, and/or EO/IR sensing/signatures
  • Working knowledge Tactical data links (TDL J, Link 11, Link 16) systems, encryption systems, precision timing systems (PNT), and DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF)

Secret

Salary Range: $120,800.00 - $217,400.00
