Client location: California

Our client is looking for an AWS report developer Analyst . The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated, hands-on, enthusiastic person who is a team player and thrives on building solutions. You will be innovative with a good understanding of Accounting principals and practices. You will own the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing metrics, reports, analyses, dashboards, etc. This is not a lead position; the incumbent is expected to work on tasks assigned.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • +4 years in relevant experience as Business Intelligence Engineer, Data Engineer, Business Analyst, Data Scientist, or equivalent preferably supporting a Finance or Accounting team/organization
  • +2 years of hands-on experience as Business Analyst supporting Finance or Accounting
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL, Relational databases, and ETL processes.
  • Advanced skills in business intelligence reporting/visualization tools (Tableau, QuickSight, Power BI, OBIEE, Business Objects, Cognos)
  • Experience with AWS technologies including Redshift, S3, EMR, Athena, DynamoDB, and QuickSight
  • Experience processing large scale datasets, analyzing data to solve business problems and presenting impactful insights to business teams, using SQL, Hadoop, Spark, Hive, EMR, or other Big Data technologies.
  • Experience with data warehousing concepts and coding in at least one modern programming language (Python, R)
  • Ability to work cross-functionally, building and maintaining trust with internal stakeholders
  • Candidate should have hand on experience in AWS cloud configurations, testing and managing data governance.
  • Deep experience in developing and troubleshooting Cash Flow reports
  • Meticulous attention for detail as demonstrated by the ability to consistently prepare and review financial transactions, ensuring correct coding of data and discerning data anomalies with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to lead and articulate end-to-end business processes and trouble shoot key integration
  • Clear and effective writing and documentation skills.
  • Team oriented with strong interpersonal, communication skills and customer interaction skills
  • Excellent prioritization skills with the ability to see a task to completion
  • Self-motivated and proactive with excellent problem solving, critical thinking and team / collaboration skills that enable you to be successful both working independently with minimal supervision while ensuring your team maintains visibility and connection to the big picture
  • Accounting degree or work experience in accounting.
  • Oracle Fusion Cloud R13: Financials (GL, FA)
