Job Description

Prime is engaged in an exciting Cloud Transformation Program which will migrate Prime on-premises applications to the cloud to improve scalability, flexibility, cost efficiency, and performance. The Technical Solution Architect will be part of the Modernization & Enablement Workstream team. This workstream is responsible for creating the Application Patterns to be used in Cloud. In addition, they will plan, design, build, deploy, and support Prime's Internal Developer Portal, Dev Experience, and CI/CD capabilities. From a program standpoint, you will be involved in: Support the Platform teams to define and prove out Platform Patterns and Services; Support the transformation teams to define current state and future state for the applications within the waves; Support the Application Teams through the SDLC transformation for their Ecosystems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement cloud solutions: Develop scalable, secure, and high-performing cloud architectures tailored to business needs.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders: Work closely with clients, developers, and project managers to align solutions with organizational goals.
  • Assess and improve infrastructure: Evaluate existing systems and recommend improvements or migrations to cloud environments.
  • Provide technical expertise: Serve as the go-to person for cloud-related technologies and best practices.
  • Ensure compliance and security: Design solutions that adhere to industry standards, regulations, and security protocols.
  • Optimize performance: Continuously monitor and optimize cloud applications for efficiency, cost, and scalability.
  • Support innovation: Research emerging cloud technologies and advocate for their adoption within the organization.
  • Lead technical teams: Guide engineers and developers in implementing cloud strategies and solutions.
  • Document solutions: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for cloud architectures and deployment processes.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • 8+ years in Business Analysis, System Design and Development, Systems Engineering, or Technical Architecture; to include 3 years direct experience working within an Architect role.
  • Proficiency with major cloud platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud.
  • Experience in migrating on-premises applications and systems to the cloud.
  • Proven experience in designing scalable, secure, and cost-efficient cloud solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of programming languages like Python, Java, or C#.
  • Experience with modern API architectures and best practices.
  • Strong business acumen and excellent communication skills for presenting ideas and achieving consensus.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Experience using tools such as Terraform AWS CloudFormation.
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts, including VPNs, load balancers, and firewalls.
  • Proficiency in modeling architectures using industry-standard tools like ArchiMate, Visio, or Miro.
  • Familiarity with cloud security principles, data protection, and compliance frameworks like GDPR, HIPAA, or SOC 2.
  • Self-learner and ability to work independently.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for complex technical challenges.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, Git, or Azure DevOps.
  • Strong organizational skills. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Knowledge of SAFe Agile Framework and TOGAF principles.
  • Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or Google Cloud Professional Architect.
  • Experience solutioning hybrid cloud or multi-cloud environments. AWS and Google Cloud Platform preferred.
  • Familiarity with cloud architectures in Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) or healthcare.
  • Experience with cloud monitoring and logging tools such as Datadog, Splunk, or Dynatrace.
  • Advanced knowledge of cloud-native and traditional databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, Amazon Redshift, Google BigQuery).
