Senior Cloud Platform Architect

Duties and Responsibilities

• Architect and Design Cloud Solutions:

  • Develop scalable, secure, cost-effective cloud architectures across multiple platforms (Azure, OCI, AWS, Google Cloud).
  • Integrate on-premises environments with various cloud services (IaaS, PaaS) considering performance, security, and cost.

• Platform and Application Integration:

  • Design Oracle Cloud Integration Platform solutions, including PaaS, VBCS application security, and integration with Oracle Cloud Fusion apps.
  • Architect single sign-on solutions using Entra ID and IAM domains.
  • Leverage API gateways and load balancers for secure routing, authentication, rate limiting, and scalability.

• Containerization and Microservices:

  • Design microservices platforms utilizing Docker, Kubernetes, and message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ) for resilient, modular architecture.
  • Implement DevOps pipelines and CI/CD processes to streamline code deployment and environment management.

• AI/ML Platform Architecture:

  • Design AI/ML systems, integrating RAG agents, SQL Agents, and vector databases to address diverse business use cases.
  • Utilize cloud platforms for distributed AI/ML model training, employing GPUs, TPUs, or other accelerators.

• Infrastructure as Code and Automation:

  • Automate provisioning and management of cloud resources with Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or Azure Resource Manager.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Azure ADO, GitHub) to ensure continuous integration and streamlined deployments.

• Security and Compliance:

  • Design secure cloud architectures that incorporate data encryption, secure APIs, identity management, and access controls.
  • Ensure solutions comply with relevant regulations (GDPR, HIPAA) and follow industry best practices.
  • Architect disaster recovery strategies to ensure business continuity.

• Technical Documentation and Collaboration:

  • Create and maintain architecture diagrams and system designs to communicate solution approaches.
  • Work closely with infrastructure, development, governance, and project management teams to align technical solutions with business objectives.
  • Conduct architecture reviews and training sessions for cross-functional teams.

• Proof of Concept Development:

  • Develop PoCs for emerging cloud technologies to validate feasibility and demonstrate value for the organization.

Minimum Qualifications / Skills

• Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience architecting and developing mission-critical enterprise applications in cloud-native and on-premises environments.

• Cloud Expertise:

  • Deep expertise with one or more major cloud providers (Azure, OCI, AWS, Google Cloud); strong preference for Azure and OCI experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of cloud PaaS services, serverless functions, API gateways, load balancers, event hubs, streaming services, blob storage, fabric clusters, and content hosting CDNs.
  • Strong grasp of cloud networking concepts (VCN, subnets, routes, NSGs, SL, gateways).

• Security & Identity Management:

  • Expertise in IAM, identity domains, IAM policies, and RBAC.
  • Proficiency with Entra ID for single sign-on integration in cloud applications.

• Containerization & DevOps:

  • Solid experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and microservices orchestration.
  • Familiarity with M365 platform architecture is desirable.

• Programming & Automation:

  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages used in cloud development (Python, Java, Go, Node.js, .NET, PowerShell).
  • Experience with Oracle Cloud Integration workflows, adapters, and authentication protocols.
  • Knowledge of Oracle Cloud HCM and ERP platforms is a plus.

• AI/ML & Advanced Technologies:

  • Experience with Azure OpenAI, OCI GenAI solutions, RAG, and SQL agents.
  • Understanding of vector search optimization and advanced AI/ML deployment best practices.
