Job Details

Title: AS400 - Manager/SME
Location: Remote
Duration: 6 + Months
Everest Technologies is seeking an AS400 IT Architect for a client of theirs in Columbus OH. The ideal candidate needs strong retail IT systems knowledge and strong retail domain knowledge. Particularly in AS400/RPG Development and Architecture.
You will be responsible to:
  • Define Architectural Roadmaps for the Retail and Distribution project using AS400
  • Develop and Evaluate Solution Options
  • Mentor development teams
  • Collaborate with business partners, business analysts, and technology teams to find innovative solutions
  • Present technology solutions to senior leadership.
  • Programmer with As400, RPGLE, RPG, CLP & SQL experience for a Distribution business.

Job Requirements
  • RPG Development and Architecture Experience
  • AS400 Programming and Architecture Experience
  • Experience with Integrations is a great plus
  • Experience managing onshore & offshore support teams from onshore
  • Great communication skills
  • Ability to create management-level reporting/dashboards
  • Understanding of development methodologies

Job Description
The ideal candidate will have managed multiple offshore support projects in the past. The candidate would need to be able to gather work requirements, have a strong understanding of AS400/ RPG development Architecture. Assign work requirements, pass off work requirements to offshore, verify offshore/Onshore work is complete, and deliver completed work to the client. The ideal candidate will need to have great communication skills and the ability to work with both management and developers.
