Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead a team of Research and Development (R&D) employees and support them in achieving the agreed R&D targets. Each day, you will coach and develop the team. You will also showcase your expertise by helping in managing technologies, platforms, and Intellectual Property.\n\nThe work model for the role is Hybrid. #LI-Hybrid\n\nRelocation assistance will be provided for this position.\n\nThis role is contributing to the Process Automation Measurement & Analytics division in Bartlesville, OK. \n\nYou will be mainly accountable for:\n \tServing as a technical resource for the team and providing technical support for internal and external contacts.\n \tPlanning and ensuring an appropriate project portfolio for the team.\n \tContributing to technical bodies relevant to ABB R&D, inside and outside the company.\n \tDeveloping and acquiring competencies that will be needed for the development of future products and systems.\n\nOur team dynamics\nYou will join a talented, high performing team, where you will be able to thrive.
Qualifications for the role

  • Bachelor's degree and/or significant relevant experience in Software or Computer Engineering.
  • 8+ years of experience in embedded systems development, working as an R&D Development Team Leader and/or Manager with natural gas flow measurement equipment or low power embedded systems development running on real-time operating systems.
  • Sound knowledge of managing embedded development teams, good understanding of software development and experience with hands-on development with "C++", scripting languages, UX/UI development, automation, continuous integration and integration, open source scanning, cyber security, delivery and release to a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with hardware and mechanical development.
  • Good knowledge of ABB Gate Model and Quality Processes
  • Sound knowledge of Agile methodologies, certifications in Scrum is preferred.
