PeopleSoft Developer

Job Description:
Our client is currently seeking an experienced PeopleSoft HCM Developer to provide essential support for a customized Oracle PeopleSoft Enterprise HCM version 9.2 application. This role involves analyzing system requirements and functionality to devise innovative solutions, creating and modifying system objects, and ensuring compliance with configuration management practices. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills. This is a pivotal role aimed at enhancing our operational capabilities and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze system requirements and existing processes to devise innovative enhancements and solutions.
• Create and modify system objects as per the project requirements.
• Lead technical design document walkthroughs to ensure clarity and understanding across teams.
• Perform unit testing to ensure the applications run according to the specified requirements.
• Analyze and troubleshoot system issues to identify and correct defects.
• Ensure adherence to configuration management practices throughout the project lifecycle.
• Provide scheduled and ad hoc support during evenings and weekends as required.
• Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to ensure alignment and prompt resolution of issues.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of development experience with PeopleSoft HCM.
• Proven expertise in PeopleCode development and PeopleTools.
• Strong SQL skills and experience in developing technical design documents.
• Demonstrated ability to perform software unit testing.
• Capability to organize work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple and changing priorities.
• Availability to provide evening and weekend support as needed.
• Experience in a federal environment and prior Treasury HRConnect development experience preferred.
• Familiarity with working within an agile framework is advantageous.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
