Location: Fully Remote or Hybrid within Major Tech Hubs (Boston, SF Bay Area, Seattle, NYC)
Description:
The Machine Learning Engineer - Core Signals will focus on representation learning for fundamental user-behavior modeling and leverage these models to enhance new and existing products. This role is a full-stack ML engineering position, requiring expertise in data processing, model training, deployment, and evaluation. The ideal candidate will collaborate across product and application teams to translate research innovations into scalable, real-world solutions.
Responsibilities:
Develop and optimize representation learning models to improve user-behavior predictions.
Design, implement, and evaluate machine learning pipelines for large-scale data applications.
Enhance embedding models, CTR modeling, and sequence modeling to drive product improvements.
Integrate core ML models into new and existing applications in collaboration with product teams.
Manage data orchestration, build systems, and experiment tracking to ensure reproducibility.
Work with open-source tools such as Airflow, Bazel, CI/CD, and Spark to streamline workflows.
Provide strategic input on product-market fit and technical implementation strategies.
Required Skills:
Strong expertise in representation learning, embeddings drift, CTR modeling, and sequence modeling.
Hands-on experience with big data processing in an industrial environment.
Proficiency in machine learning deployment, evaluation, and scalability strategies.
Familiarity with data orchestration, pipeline automation, and model experimentation.
Ability to work independently while collaborating across product and engineering teams.
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to research-driven ML development.
Desired Skills:
Prior experience working in fast-paced startup environments.
Strong product intuition with the ability to evaluate ML solutions for business impact.
Experience working with open-source ML tools and scalable cloud-based architectures.

Compensation:
$157,500 - $225,000 per year base salary (equity and benefits included)
