Get ready to push the boundaries of innovation and be a part of a dynamic team that is redefining the satellite industry! We are seeking a Quality Engineering Consultant to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to work on projects related to spacecraft and satellite design. You will be at the helm of our quality control and engineering processes, ensuring all our products meet the highest standards of excellence. Your expertise in Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA), Failure Analysis, nonconformance, and fabrication will be crucial in delivering world-class products.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality engineering protocols and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation.
  • Drive Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) to ensure the highest quality standards are maintained across all processes.
  • Lead failure analysis investigations, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Manage nonconformance processes, conduct audits, and work closely with manufacturing teams to ensure corrective actions are implemented.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, manufacturing, and engineering to ensure quality is maintained from initial design through to final product delivery.
  • Provide technical guidance and training to the team, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in Quality Engineering within the manufacturing industry, preferably in spacecraft or aerospace.
  • Experience with AS9100 processes and certification
  • Experience with statistical quality control methods
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to lead and work effectively in a team environment.
  • Certification in Quality Engineering or related field will be an added advantage.
