Somfy s journey into the connected world requires the organization to build on its understanding of Somfy s product range in this new environment. We are seeking a highly-qualified and motivated Engineer to be part of the design and testing of solutions that meets Somfy s market needs. The engineering team is responsible for guiding the Somfy product management process by showing what is technically feasible. In this role, you will manage assigned projects from start-to-finish, including design and documentation of equipment specifications, testing proposed solutions for effectiveness, and presenting proposals to product management this will also include testing and validating new products (from the parent or engineered here in SNABA) requires completing a full testing cycle. You will be expected to work within a team to ensure that projects are completed on-time, within the allocated budget, and you may travel from time-to-time to customers facilities to oversee implementation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

Embedded Systems Engineer

  • Responsible for the design, development, production, testing, and maintenance of MCU embedded systems.
  • BSEE, minimum 3 years experience.

Required Core skill set

Qualifications

  • Bachelor s Degree in Electronics Engineering
  • 3 years related work experience
  • Expertise in data and problem analysis, creative problem solving and design thinking
  • Up-to-date knowledge and technical skills required to design and operate our core products and services
  • Advanced skills in critical desk-top applications such as Microsoft Office Suite
  • Demonstrated proficiency in written and verbal communication, including creating and delivering presentations
  • Embedded Linx OS knowledge a plus
