Job Details

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's Degree within Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in process improvement, supply chain management, project management, or operations management.
  • Demonstrates a continuous improvement mindset and ensures accuracy and quality of delivery
  • Lead at least two (2) successful transformational experiences where Lean principles (i.e. 5S, CIP, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, etc.) were utilized as part of the change.
  • Demonstrated change management skills and experience.
  • Proven success designing and achieving metrics (examples: reducing supply chain costs, improving throughput, quality, inventory turns, and reducing cycle times and rework).
  • Ability to use quality tools such as surveys, gap analysis, pareto analysis, fish-bone diagrams, 5-Why, SIPOC, VSM, and process mapping for fact-based decision making.
  • Familiar with various systems and tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Smartsheet, Visio, Tableau, project management tools, Kanban boards, exception and workflow automation platforms, and other data and analytics tools.
  • Ability to work independently in a professional manner with minimum supervision, managing several projects at one time and meeting deadlines.

Certain states and localities require employers to post a reasonable estimate of salary range. A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range for this position is $80,000 - $95,000 annually. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including shift, location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in the base salary.

JOB SUMMARY: The role of the Process Improvement Engineer is to successfully lead and deliver process improvement outcomes within the supply chain organization in both physical and digital processes. The position is part of the Process Improvement team within the Supply Chain organization. Process Improvement Engineers lead the delivery of critical outcomes that help ensure operational scaling while reducing risk and ensuring 100% customer delight. The position reports to the Manager of Process Improvement and will have no direct reports. This position has the ability to perform in a fast-paced environment, working on multiple initiatives at once. They have the ability to make data driven decisions quickly, adjust work as priorities change, and communicate effectively to stakeholders within the organization.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Builds cross-functional teams, gain buy-in and alignment, provide solutions, and drive measurable improvement initiatives with stakeholders.
  • Uses problem solving methodologies (ie: RCA, 5-why, fish-bone diagrams, etc.) to assess and create improvement plans, focused on fixing issues at the source
  • Assesses bottlenecks and implements improvements in work processes to streamline and simplify workflow and achieve needed outcomes; implements effective control measures.
  • Conducts a deep review of data and issues to quickly reveal the root cause of the problem.
  • Devises methods for collecting data, performing complex data analyses, and delivering data and reporting to drive business outcomes.
  • Communicates effectively at various levels within the organization. Assists team members in the creation of technical communication materials (e.g., policies & procedures, guidelines, presentations, visuals, messages).
  • Demonstrates the ability to challenge the status quo and encourage break through thinking for improvement implementation. Able to identify or detect patterns that are not inherently obvious.
  • Project management: Effectively breaks down complex projects into milestones, risks, and other appropriate groups to recommend and execute interim and long-term solutions to complex problems.
  • Teaches and mentors others in the use of Lean tools and practices at various levels in the organization.
