Title: Program Manager Tech 3 (Only w2 candidates)

Duration: 6 months

Location: Redmond, WA

Typical Day in the Role
  • Purpose of the Team: The purpose of this team is to Maintains Minecraft.net.
  • Key projects: This role will contribute to moving / migrating to new Adobe platform. Changing backend components. Some new front-end designs. New structure and localization. Will be focusing on new implementation, modifying, and 1 to 1. This resource will help manage the process, aligning to the road map. Will work close with the manager on the priority list. Will help ensure the offshore and the onshore has the up-to-date information.
  • Typical task breakdown and operating rhythm: The role will consist of 70% meetings & 30% heads down work.

  • Years of Experience Required: 4+ overall years of experience in the field.

  • Best vs. Average: The ideal resume would contain open to big tech & start up experience. Looking for someone with an array of experience.
  • Performance Indicators: Performance will be assessed based on quality of work, effectiveness, and meeting project deadlines.

Job Description: Overview

On the Minecraft Web Team, experimentation is at the core of how we operate: from large-scale releases to UX optimizations, our goal is to achieve significant positive impact with maximum confidence. As our experimentation TPM, you will be responsible for maintaining a healthy, efficient process that enables the entire Web team to deliver at our best. You will enable product teams to get the most out of experimentation while also supporting experimentation development and the health of our internal platform. Evangelism across the team, strong partnership with our partners, and championing the power of mature experimentation will all be essential!

Job Description: Responsibilities

  • Manage team experimentation process across intake/review/development/analysis
  • Manage team experimentation team backlog, stakeholder communication
  • Partner with product teams and partners to support ease burden of experimentation efforts
  • Analyze experiments, contextualize results, and distill learnings for stakeholders
  • Ensure our process remains efficient, democratic, and impactful

Required Qualifications

  • 4+ years experience as a cross-functional technical PM for web or other online product
  • 2+ years experience working with experimentation as part of product engineering/optimization

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years experience with customer-focused data analysis
