This position will serve as the Southern California champion representing HDR's range of zero emissions services in battery electric and hydrogen technology for vehicles and trains, charging/fueling infrastructure, design, and implementation programs across multiple business groups. Sample services include program management, fleet feasibility and transition planning, infrastructure design projects, community EV readiness planning, corridor studies, and fundings support. This position will be responsible for the development of a regional zero emissions business development plan, project management, regional project oversite, staffing requirements, client interaction, providing technical expertise, perform project deliverable quality control, proposal development, and annualized growth of the practice. The Zero Emissions Mobility Leader will functionally report to Transportation Mobility Electrified Practice Lead.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

ZEM Program Leadership

      • Represent HDR Zero Emission Mobility Practice as a liaison with internal and external organizations and clients.
      • Develop, support, and execute, a regional business development plan to meet or exceed annual growth targets.
      • Participate in business development activities including pre-tender activities, scope development, technical approaches, staffing, and cost estimates.
      • Attend/present at approved conferences.
      • Implement Zero Emission Oversite Program.
      • Develop staff and skills to support expansion.
      • Participate in staffing forecasting, recruiting, and on-boarding.
      • On-going education and analysis of industry trends, developments, and innovations.
      • Provide Project Manager, technical delivery, and task support on projects to meet UT goals.
      • Develop project budgets, monitor project expenditures to ensure financial performance.


Project Management

      • Interface with clients to ensure high customer satisfaction.
      • Provide guidance and leadership to internal teams to ensure on-time and quality deliverables.
      • Ensure compliance with project scope and agency requirements.
      • Perform HDR project management administrative requirements.
      • Review and monitor financial performance to achieve expected performance.
      • Perform QA/QC functions to ensure quality deliverables.


Preferred Qualifications

  • 10 years of experience with the planning and implementation of zero-emission projects.
  • Must have experience as a Project Manager working with diverse teams in multiple locations.
  • Should have the ability to develop and assess project budgets, pricing/estimated costs, etc.
  • Must have experience in coordinating with planning and technical staff.
  • Must have knowledge of strategic program planning.
  • Must have a successful record of identifying viable opportunities and developing winning pursuit strategies.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in related field
  • 10 years related experience
  • A minimum of 5 years of project management experience
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office, estimating and scheduling software (Primavera P3 or SureTrak preferred), project management software (Prolog preferred)
  • Must have the ability to interact with various design teams, have excellent organizational, project management and communication (both written and verbal) skills
