Responsibilities

Job Summary/Purpose

The Process & Technology Manager provides operational support for the Strategy Realization Office (SRO) department. This individual will be responsible for managing one of the SRO's functions which includes Methodology, Quality, Reporting and Delivery Engagement as part of our Delivery team support model to ensure Project and Program Managers are able to manage their projects/programs effectively.

Functional Responsibilities

  • Take accountability for the Project and Program delivery framework, tools and metrics
  • Actively engage stakeholders and the various delivery leaders to drive collaboration, communication and good stewardship across the organization
  • Support leadership to evolve and enhance an SRO function as part of the Delivery Community of Practice (CoP)
  • Drive adoption of our Portfolio standards and practices and support continuous improvement of our methodology over time working with other PMO Delivery functions in the organization
  • Manage quality checks to ensure the adherence to our Portfolio and Project standards and practices, and the reliability of our Project, Program and Portfolio data
  • Support project/program assessments and deep dives
  • Bring visibility to leadership and stakeholders through dashboards and reports to make timely data-driven decisions
  • Provide change management support to ensure there is clear understanding, knowledge, and ability for PMs to perform their responsibilities effectively

  • Excellent facilitation and influence skills to work with stakeholders at all levels. Builds trust and respect with key stakeholders
  • Strong communication and presentation skills to engage with stakeholders through various channels
  • Applies critical thinking and analytical skills to drive the work across the team
  • Demonstrates proactive behaviors and self-management techniques, supporting leadership to operationalize our SRO roadmap and achieve our goals
  • Able to see the big picture, understanding the details, and making the connections of the work effort
  • Proactively manages issues and risks, and escalates as needed
  • Regularly exercises independent judgment on matters of significance including making recommendations on management
  • Leads moderately complex projects/activities on semi-regular basis
  • Assists senior professionals in determining methods and procedures for new tasks
  • Begins to influence department's strategy
  • Often operates in ambiguous situations
  • Identifies areas for possible improvements and proactively addresses problems within scope of responsibility
  • Regularly makes recommendations on new processes, tools and services that can impact multiple projects and other functions
  • Makes recommendations to management on new processes, tools and techniques, or development of new products and services
  • Makes decisions regarding daily priorities for a work group; provides guidance to and/or assists staff on non-routine or escalated issues
  • Works under minimal supervision, uses independent judgment requiring analysis of variable factors
  • Requires little instruction on day-to-day work and general direction on more complex tasks and projects
  • Collaborates with senior professionals in the development of methods, techniques and analytical approach

Qualifications: Education and Work Experience

  • Masters degree in Business or IT or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience
  • 5-10 years related experience (IT Project Mgt, Program Mgt, Portfolio Mgt, PMO)
  • Strong project/program financial management experience
  • PMP, Lean Six Sigma, Change Management certifications a plus
  • Process Improvement experience required
  • Change Management experience is a plus
  • Experience with ServiceNow and Smartsheet as PPM tools

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • Certification credentialed from the International Association of Information Technology Asset Managers preferred.

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency with 3 years of cumulative experience OR Associate'

    degree/Bachelor's degree with 2 years of cumulative experience OR 7 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
  • 3 years of leadership or management experience preferred.
