Who You Are

The Episcopal Academy has an immediate opening for an experienced Educational Technical Support Specialist to join our Technology Team. This role is vital in providing technical frontline support to our school community and ensuring smooth operations of our technological resources. Dedicated professionals with a broad knowledge of educational software and hardware, and who possess strong organizational and communication skills are encouraged to apply.

What You'll Do

  • Support cloud-based student information systems like Veracross and educational applications such as Canvas, Kahoot, Clever, and Quizlet.
  • Configure, deploy, maintain, and support a variety of hardware and software, including Macs, iOS devices, and cloud services.
  • Address technical issues and help desk requests promptly and courteously for students, faculty, staff, administration, guests, and parents with a customer-centric approach.
  • Maintain and support classroom technology such as Mac laptops, iPads, Smartboards, printers, projectors, Wi-Fi, and Apple TV.
  • Provide audiovisual support for Board-level meetings and major fundraising events.
  • Assist users with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office products, and maintain user hardware devices.
  • Guide users to solve technical issues independently.
  • Stay current with new software and hardware technologies.
  • Collaborates routinely with team members to advance Episcopal's educational mission.

About You

The ideal candidate for the Educational Technical Support Specialist at The Episcopal Academy will possess the following:

  • Demonstrated strong working knowledge of educational software like Veracross and Canvas, and tools like Kahoot, Quizlet, and Gimkit.
  • Proficiency with Macs, iPads, Windows devices, Smartboards, projectors, printers, and AV equipment.
  • Knowledge of Mac OS X, iOS, Microsoft Windows, Active Directory.
  • Familiarity with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and Adobe products.
  • Skills in navigating, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving technical issues.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a positive and patient attitude.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, emphasizing customer service, to clients and customers with varying levels of technical knowledge.
  • Minimum of three years in a technical support role within an academic setting.
  • A bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
