Description

As the Software Development Manager, you will oversee a team of developers responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our software products. Your role will involve managing the entire development lifecycle, from planning and execution to delivery and maintenance. With your expertise in .NET, C#, and SQL, you will ensure that our technology solutions meet industry standards, align with business goals, and provide exceptional value to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of developers, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages innovation, professional growth, and high performance. (Some travel may be required)
  • Project Oversight: Manage and prioritize development projects, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards. Develop project plans, allocate resources, and track progress against milestones.
  • Technical Direction: Provide technical guidance and support to the development team, leveraging your expertise in .NET, C#, and SQL to solve complex problems, optimize performance, and ensure robust, scalable solutions.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to gather requirements, define project objectives, and align development efforts with business needs and industry regulations.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement and enforce best practices for coding, testing, and deployment. Oversee the development of comprehensive testing strategies and ensure that software solutions are thoroughly tested and meet quality benchmarks.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process enhancements and drive continuous improvement within the development team. Promote the adoption of new technologies and methodologies to enhance productivity and software quality.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed documentation of development processes, system architectures, and project status. Provide regular updates to senior management and stakeholders on project progress and team performance.


Requirements

  • Experience:Proven experience in managing a team of developers, with a strong track record in leading software development projects, preferably within the payroll or financial technology sector.
  • Technical Skills:Expertise in .NET, C#, SQL, and Azure. Demonstrated ability to apply these technologies in building and maintaining payroll solutions and other enterprise-level applications.
  • Leadership:Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor developers, drive team performance, and manage diverse technical challenges.
  • Project Management:Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Communication:Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders and facilitate productive collaboration within the team.
  • Problem-Solving:Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a track record of addressing complex technical issues and delivering effective solutions.
  • Education:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Relevant certifications or advanced degrees in software development or project management are a plus.
