THE POSITION

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will be responsible for organizing and executing tasks related to PennDOT's "Automated Data Collection, Inventory and Analysis of Pavement Distress" (videologging) Program, ensuring compliance with management objectives, PennDOT guidelines, ASTM standards, and AASHTO specifications. Your responsibilities will include preparing data from videologging vendors for mainframe uploads and addressing any upload issues, such as vendor and surface type discrepancies. Furthermore, you will oversee the videologging Library, managing the storage and retrieval of media, approving requests for videologging data and products, and maintaining the facility. It is crucial to supervise the videologging Quality Assurance (QA) Program by processing QA images and assessing pavement conditions according to established policies. You will provide weekly reports to the Videologging Project Manager and coordinate field operations for the QA Program, warranty projects, and other special requests, ensuring adherence to management goals and PennDOT procedures.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 6 days per pay period. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
  • This position may be eligible for alternate work schedule (AWS).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
  • One year of experience as a Roadway Programs Specialist or Roadway Programs Technician Supervisor. or
  • Three years of experience in the analysis, development, and implementation of methods and techniques used in a roadway maintenance management system; and an associate's degree in a field of business administration, computer science, highway engineering technology or closely related program. or
  • One year of experience in the analysis, development, and implementation of methods and techniques used in a roadway maintenance management system; and a bachelor's degree in business administration, computer science, mathematics, statistics, or civil engineering related discipline. or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
