We produce budgets and forecasts; create and analyze business metrics and identify cost savings opportunities; and deliver economic insight into the relationships between costs and revenues to improve the financial success of the business going forward. We are a valued and critical component of the management function, working at all levels of BlackRock to provide both a broad and deep understanding of the firm's financial position and opportunities.

Position Overview:

This VP-level position leads the FP&A team partnering with the Multi-Asset Strategies & Solutions (MASS) business, a strategic growth priority area for BlackRock. Candidates should have proven quantitative and analytical skills, be able to multi-task and effectively manage priorities, clearly communicate results orally and in writing, and should be strong problem solvers.

Key responsibilities:
  • Drive various special projects related to financial analysis, market research, competitor landscape, and planning initiatives.

  • Develop high-quality presentations and executive summaries for senior leadership, supplemented by fellow FP&A team inputs and analyses.
  • Communicate complex financial concepts and insights clearly, concisely, and compellingly to facilitate understanding and alignment among stakeholders.
  • Identify key business challenges and apply sophisticated visualization tools and techniques to enhance data-driven decision-making processes and improve efficiency.
  • Manage and mentor a team of FP&A professionals, encouraging a culture of teamwork, continuous learning, and excellence.
  • Build and maintain robust financial models to support scenario analysis, forecasting, and strategic planning efforts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners (Controllers, Human Resources, Investor Relations, Strategy) and Finance teams in advancing projects and managing the business.

Knowledge and experience requirements:
  • 7+ years of experience in the financial services or technology sector, preferably at a premier asset manager, investment bank, public accounting or consulting firm or innovative technology organization.
  • Ability to clearly articulate and present ideas both in written presentations and orally to senior management.
  • Demonstrated experience leading teams.
  • Proven track record of navigating a large, complex organization.
  • Strong proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and visualization tools such as Excel, Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms; familiarity with TM1/Cognos/Planning Analytics a plus.
  • Proven expertise in Excel, PowerPoint, Word & Outlook.

Competencies
  • Able to work optimally in a constantly evolving environment in order to meet targets.
  • Focused attention to detail and high standards for quality and accuracy in work product.
  • Professional, positive demeanor; collaborative orientation; relationship-builder who is an excellent problem solver.
  • Organized approach with strong follow-through and ability to get things done.
