The Senior Project Manager reports into the Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) and will provide overall project management of critical projects primarily for client's Information Technology projects and products. Core responsibilities include project initiation, planning, control, execution, and communication activities pertaining to technology and business solutions. This role works closely with leadership and project teams to ensure goals are accomplished within time and budget goals, in line with business objectives and stakeholder expectations, and within quality and integrity parameters. The Senior Project Manager will indirectly lead project teams and all aspects of project management to successfully deliver on complex technology solutions and the associated change management with large scale enterprise projects. This role will coach/mentor/train project managers across Information Technology (IT) to support best-in-class delivery of project management . Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Partner with business owners and stakeholders to define project vision, review and gain approval of scope including objectives, measures of success, schedule, costs, risks and issues.
  • Direct projects from Proposal to Implementation, effectively applying appropriate EPMO methodology and upholding project standards.
  • Act as primary customer contact and ensure customer expectations are understood and managed.
  • Along with Business and IT Owners, identify resources/staffing requirements.
  • Identify key requirements needed from cross-functional teams and external vendors
  • Develop and maintain project plans and communicate milestones.
  • Ensure proposed solution fulfills agreed upon outcomes including functional, technical, performance, security, scalability, process, and total cost of ownership.

  • Proactively eliminate roadblocks in the projects critical path to help ensure successful delivery of the solution.
  • Lead the effort using creative approaches to problem solving and quality deliverables supporting business needs.
  • Plan and lead project status meetings and report schedule, budget, and delivery details to project ownership, steering committees and the project team.
  • Design and maintain high level project documentation, ensuring documents are complete, current, appropriately stored and aligned with EPMO project methodology.

Work Experience:

  • 10+ years of direct project management experience with complex multi-year technical projects.
  • 5+years of overall business / IT experience.
  • Robust experience in formal project delivery methodologies; PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or CSM (Certified Scrum Master) preferred.
  • Experience in an IT organization or online training department preferred

Educaton Bachelor s degree from an accredited institution; Masters degree from an accredited institution desired.
Certificates, licenses and registrations: PMP/PgMP/PfMP and/or CSM desired
