Telecom BSS/OSS Consultant

Short term Contract

Remote role

InfoVision is seeking a highly skilled Telecom BSS/OSS Consultant to support the design, implementation, and optimization of Business Support Systems (BSS) and Operational Support Systems (OSS) for telecom and service provider clients. The ideal candidate will have deep domain expertise in telecom IT architecture, system integration, and process transformation to enhance operational efficiency and customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Consulting & Advisory Experience (10+ years) Supporting InfoVision team with technical and domain knowledge for building RFP/RFI. He/She should provide expertise in BSS/OSS solution building and transformation, BSS OSS COTS products understanding (in this case COMPAX Digital) and its configuration & integration , roadmap definition, and technology selection.

This includes Knowledge on reference architectures and workflows for telecom billing, customer management, service fulfilment, Service assurance, Inventory management , and network management. Experience in Leading integration efforts between BSS, OSS, CRM, ERP, and network systems. Analyse and enhance existing telecom business processes like order-to-cash, trouble ticketing, and service provisioning. Ensure adherence to telecom regulatory, security, and data privacy standards.

  • Technical, Domain and Soft Skills :
    • Strong understanding of BSS components (Billing, CRM, Order Management)
    • Expertise in OSS components (Service Assurance, Network Inventory, Fault Management)
    • Prior experience in Fiber Internet technologies is highly desirable.
    • Good understanding on COTS products (Desirable COMPAX Digital),
    • Exposure to leading BSS/OSS solutions (Amdocs, Ericsson, Netcracker, Huawei, CSG, etc.)
    • Knowledge of TM Forum frameworks (eTOM, SID, TAM)
    • Hands-on experience with telecom protocols (SOAP, REST, SNMP, NetConf)
    • Experience in API management and microservices architecture
    • Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) for telecom solutions
    • Database and reporting tools (SQL, NoSQL, BI tools)
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Excellent communication and stakeholder management
    • Ability to work in agile and waterfall environments
