We are hiring SAP TM Architect Remotely in Boston, MA for our Large Pharmaceutical Client.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and architecture of SAP TM solutions to meet the business needs of the client. Create scalable, robust, and efficient system designs for transportation and logistics processes.
  • Oversee the implementation and integration of SAP TM with other SAP modules (e.g., SAP EWM, SAP SD) and external systems, ensuring seamless data flow and process automation.
  • Provide expert guidance on configuring and customizing SAP TM to optimize transportation planning, execution, freight cost calculation, settlement, and monitoring.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including supply chain, logistics, and IT stakeholders, to manage the end-to-end SAP TM project lifecycle from blueprinting and development to testing and go-live.
  • Evaluate existing transportation processes and propose improvements using SAP TM functionalities to increase operational efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Ensure the system complies with industry standards and regulations, especially in the pharmaceutical sector. Create comprehensive documentation, including solution designs, functional specifications, and end-user training materials.
  • Act as the main point of contact for the client regarding SAP TM solutions, ensuring effective communication, risk management, and issue resolution.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of SAP experience, with at least 5 years in SAP Transportation Management (TM).
  • Deep knowledge of SAP TM architecture, functionalities, and best practices, with experience in both inbound and outbound transportation scenarios.
  • Proven experience integrating SAP TM with SAP EWM, SAP SD, and other relevant SAP modules. Knowledge of middleware and third-party systems integration is a plus.
  • Previous experience working within the pharmaceutical or life sciences sector, with a strong understanding of industry-specific logistics and compliance requirements, is highly preferred.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to lead large-scale SAP TM implementations. Experience with Agile or Waterfall methodologies is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work with both technical teams and business users.
