Description
We are looking for a skilled Data Security Analyst to join our team in Riverwoods, IL. In this long-term contract role, you will play a pivotal part in safeguarding sensitive data and ensuring the organization's digital security measures are robust and effective. This position involves analyzing risks, implementing security protocols, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to maintain a secure digital environment.
Responsibilities:
Conduct in-depth data security analyses to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities.
Develop, implement, and manage security configurations and protocols to protect sensitive data.
Monitor and maintain firewall technologies, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and other cybersecurity tools.
Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with security policies and regulatory requirements.
Perform regular audits and risk assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of security measures.
Create and present detailed reports on security performance and potential risks to stakeholders.
Investigate, escalate, and resolve any detected security incidents or breaches in a timely manner.
Stay updated on the latest trends and advancements in cybersecurity to enhance the organization's defenses.
Collaborate with IT and business teams to align security strategies with overall organizational goals.
Support configuration management efforts to ensure systems remain updated and secure.
Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Analytics, Mathematics, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
At least 5 years of experience in data security, analytics, or cybersecurity roles.
Proficiency in intrusion detection systems (IDS) and firewall technologies.
Strong skills in data visualization tools such as Tableau and advanced analysis using Python.
Experience working with cloud environments such as Snowflake for data analysis.
Familiarity with configuration management and auditing processes.
Knowledge of financial services, including credit, marketing, or digital marketing, is a plus.
Ability to conduct AB testing and perform statistical analysis to assess security processes.
