Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a fully remote Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to join their team.

Summary:
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both manual and automated testing, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure the quality and reliability of our software products.

Key Responsibilities:
* Design, develop, and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts for both functional and non-functional testing
* Develop and maintain automated test frameworks and test suites for web, API, and backend systems
* Collaborate with developers, product managers, and business analysts to clarify requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage
* Perform thorough regression, integration, and exploratory testing across multiple platforms and environments
* Analyze test results, identify root causes of defects, and work with developers to ensure resolution
* Drive continuous improvement in test processes, tools, and practices
* Mentor junior QA engineers and contribute to a culture of quality across the team
* Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and other Agile ceremonies

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
* 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, with at least 2+ years in a senior role
* Strong experience with automated testing tools such as Selenium, Cypress, TestNG, or similar
* Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC), testing methodologies, and Agile/Scrum processes
* Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar
* Familiarity with performance testing tools like JMeter, K6, etc.
* Proficiency in testing REST APIs using tools like Postman or RestAssured
* Security testing is a plus
* Understanding of data visualization tools such as grafana or similar
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to work independently
* Adaptability and flexibility with various technologies

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
