Job Title: IT Desktop Support Technician
Job Type: Onsite (Long-term Contract)
Location: Illinois (Client Park, Des Plaines, Waukegan)

Job Requirements:
Technical Skills
- IT Infrastructure Support:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in IT Infrastructure field support, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and operating system issues while adhering to hardware warranty and security compliance requirements.
- Expertise in installing, troubleshooting, and fixing hardware problems for desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals, as well as resolving issues with desktop applications.
- Network and System Knowledge:
- Basic understanding of enterprise LAN/WAN setups and concepts.
- Usage knowledge of TCP/IP networking, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and RDP.
- Ability to troubleshoot end-user network cabling issues effectively.
- Smart Hands Support:
- Experience with peripheral and networking hardware such as monitors, keyboards, mice, printers, routers, switches, firewalls, and other related devices.
- Ability to perform "Smart Hand" activities based on instructions.
- Operating Systems Expertise:
- Strong skills in desk-side support and PC break/fix, including basic administration of Windows OS.
- Familiarity with MAC/Linux OS (preferred).
- Additional Skills:
- Ability to lift/move computer equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Experience with ticketing tools like ServiceNow or Remedy.
- Proficiency in repeat call analysis and implementing preventive actions.
- Problem management experience.
Certifications and Education:
- Preferably an Associate Degree in Electronics.
- CompTIA A+ Certification.
- Vendor certifications from OEMs (Dell, Toshiba, Lenovo, etc.) are a plus.

- Strong customer management skills with excellent oral and written communication.
- Ability to interact and collaborate with clients and team members at various levels.
- Driven, result-oriented, and passionate about work.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills to meet deadlines effectively.
