Scrum Master/Project Manager (Hybrid)

We have an immediate need for a contract Scrum Master/Project Manager to join a multinational hospitality organization.

Location: Scottsdale, AZ. Hybrid working onsite 4 days per week.

This job expects to pay about $40 45 per hour plus benefits.

What You Will Do:


  • Schedule Scrum Ceremonies and necessary meetings to resolve team s delivery challenges.
  • Send out bi-weekly sprint summaries to Stakeholders, Executive Leadership, and Team.
  • Pay attention to all calculations related to burndown charts, velocity charts, etc., before sending out bi-weekly reports.
  • Prepare before daily standups and planning events to keep meetings efficient and effective.
  • Holds team accountable for commitment and delivery through retrospectives and discussions with management on continuous improvement areas.
  • Provide guidance to team on agile processes and next steps during meetings.
  • Aligning with program managers on reporting, progress, risks, and escalation issues.
  • Communicating with domain leaders to resolve team delivery issues, escalate individual performance issues, and address concerns with team regarding not following processes.
  • Escalate any scope changes to Program Managers and Product Managers and engage with business stakeholders and team to push back on scope changes or negotiate scope via a give/take approach.

What Gets You The Job:


  • 3 to 5+ Years of Experience in their role and able to speak to their impact as a Scrum Master for their Teams.
  • Have experience being the Scrum Master for 2 or more teams at a time.
  • Must have an engaging personality, is proactive with following up on sprint impediments. Owns and facilitates meetings in an efficient manner.
  • Great Communication skills especially with reporting progress of ongoing projects, following up on action items, assigning owners and due dates, and tracking progress
  • Great negotiation, conflict management, and growth mindset attributes
  • Must have experience with using Jira for Project Management (managing sprints and unfinished issues, generating reports, understanding Jira queries is a plus)
