Responsibilities
As a Test Engineer, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and maintaining tests to ensure the quality and reliability of our products. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and other teams to ensure that software and systems meet the functional, performance, and reliability requirements. As a Test Engineer, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and maintaining tests to ensure the quality and reliability of our products. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and other teams to ensure that software and systems meet the functional, performance, and reliability requirements. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on product requirements, functional specifications, and design documents.
- Collaborate with development and product teams to understand product features and functionality and create testing strategies accordingly.
- Perform manual testing of software applications, focusing on functional, usability, and exploratory testing.
- Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts to ensure faster test execution and reusability.
- Use testing frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG) to create automated tests for different application layers.
- Identify, document, and report defects, issues, or bugs, and ensure they are communicated effectively to the development team for resolution.
- Follow up on defects to ensure timely resolution and verify bug fixes through re-testing.
- Execute both manual and automated test cases and ensure proper tracking of test results.
- Analyze test results, identify areas of improvement, and provide insights to improve product quality.
- Perform regression testing, integration testing, and other necessary testing based on changes in code or functionality.
- Continuously improve testing processes by providing feedback on test coverage, automation, and efficiency.
- Work closely with development and product teams to identify areas for process optimization and improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure proper understanding of product requirements and project timelines.
- Maintain detailed documentation of test cases, test results, and defect reports.
- Contribute to maintaining a well-organized test repository and ensure all relevant documentation is up-to-date.
- Set up, configure, and manage test environments, ensuring that they mimic production environments for accurate test results.
- Conduct performance and load testing to ensure the product can handle expected workloads and perform optimally under stress.
- Identify and document performance bottlenecks, offering suggestions for improvement.

Qualifications
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- TS/SCI with Polygraph level clearance is required.
- BA/BS and 2+ years of experience; Masters and 0 years required; an additional four years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Proven experience as a Test Engineer or in a similar software testing role.
- Strong understanding of manual and automated testing principles and methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, Appium).
- Familiarity with defect tracking and test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail).
- Knowledge of programming/scripting languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, or similar.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on ensuring product quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, agile environment.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
- Familiarity with continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) tools.
- Experience testing mobile applications (iOS/Android).
- Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE, or equivalent).
- Experience with cloud-based applications and testing in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
