Who we are looking for
We are looking for an experienced Principal Business Solution Architect who will align the bank's business and technology strategies, drive architectural governance, and guide vendor selection and technology integration. The Principal Business Solution Architect will be responsible for collaborating with multiple application development teams to create and maintain roadmaps for rationalizing business processes across the State Street's Data, Markets, and Corporate systems divisions, ensuring they are supported by an optimized suite of vendor and custom-built applications. Collaborating with solution architects, business analysts, and data architects, this role ensures the architecture vision is executed efficiently. This role can be performed in a hybrid model, where you can balance work from home and office to match your needs and role requirements.

Salary Range:
$140,000 - $222,500 Annual

What you will be responsible for
As Principal Business Solution Architect you will:
- Create and maintain Data, Markets, and Corporate business platform roadmaps, balancing immediate needs with long-term goals.
- Develop a Target Operating Model (TOM) outlining the future business architecture and the steps to achieve it.
- Incorporate emerging technologies, regulatory changes, and evolving business requirements into the roadmap.
- Continuously improve technology solutions and architectural practices to support innovation.
- Implement governance frameworks to ensure consistent architectural standards and best practices.
- Oversee architecture review processes, ensuring scalability, security, and alignment with enterprise architecture.
- Collaborate with Risk, Compliance, and Audit teams to ensure all projects meet regulatory standards.
- Lead governance committees to assess architectural decisions and track alignment with strategic goals.
- Collaborate with senior leaders to ensure architecture strategies support both long-term goals and immediate business needs.
- Lead vendor selection processes and manage vendor relationships, ensuring solutions integrate seamlessly with in-house applications.
- Work with Solution Architects and Business Analysts to guide the tactical implementation of architectural projects.

Education & Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- 12+ years of experience in enterprise, business, or solution architecture in large financial institutions.
- Hands-on experience with Java, Python, React, JQuery, Node.JS, Spark, Spring Frameworks, Kafka, MQ, PLSQL, API, etc..
- Agile/Kanban methodology training and experience
- Proficient with planning tools MS Project, Excel, PPT
