Job Details

The Philadelphia, PA manufacturing site is the home of FluMist , the world's only nasally administered influenza vaccine. The site consists of two geographic locations - a facility at Red Lion Road in NE Philadelphia has about 135 full-time employees and the Bensalem storage and distribution facility has about 6 employees. FluMist is aseptically filled and packaged at the Philadelphia location and is stored for final distribution at the Bensalem location. The facilities are about 8 miles apart and both are situated close to I-95, the city of Philadelphia, and Philadelphia International Airport. Our product is sold in multiple countries, including the US and UK. Operations continue year-round, with the FluMist production campaign being in the summer (typically April-August). Our site is highly collaborative, and we show our Philly pride in all we do. We work closely together, always striving to be better every day. Senior PET Engineer Accountabilities:
As a Senior PET Engineer, you'll ensure technical processes are clear and deliver a quality product. You'll lead or support process improvement efforts, ensure success criteria for technology transfer and validation is clear, and deliver or support PET's and/or Facility improvement initiatives. You'll also initiate deviations, author and review documents, ensure as-built drawings and documentation is completed, provide recommendations to new asset procurement, and much more.

Essential Skills/Experience:
  • BS in Engineering, pharmacy or related science.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in GMP or regulated production environment
  • 3+ years of leadership and project management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to simultaneously lead multiple projects
  • Proficiency in at least one of the following disciplines: equipment, process/materials, maintenance, project delivery
  • Solid organization, problem solving and decision-making
  • Solid team work and communication skills (oral and written)
  • Training or experience in the applicable following technologies: aseptic/controlled environment, unit operations, formulation, packaging, validation, technology transfer, change control, applied statistics ,mechanics, hydraulics, pneumatics, vacuum technology, electronics, programmable logic controllers, refrigeration, freeze drying, test equipment for electrical and mechanical trouble shooting, HVAC
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Project)
  • Shown ability to work in a global environment to deliver standardization across the business

Desirable Skills/Experience:
- Advanced technical degree or professional certification
- Shown experience leading a team of technical personnel
- Experience in Six Sigma/ analytical trouble shooting skills
- Application of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Project) for project delivery
- Working knowledge of TDMS, SAP, OCM, TrakSys
