Job Title: Scripting Developer (Perl/Shell/JS)

Location: Salt Lake City, UT

Job Type: Contract- 12 months +

Role Overview: As a Scripting Resources, you will play a pivotal role in developing and maintaining scripts to support our projects. You will work closely with our development and operations teams to ensure that our scripts are effective, efficient, and well-integrated with our systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, write, and test scripts using Perl, Shell/Korn Shell, and JavaScript for various projects.
• Debug and troubleshoot scripts and code to resolve issues and improve functionality.
• Work with distributed storage systems including DB2, Sybase/Sybase IQ, and MongoDB.
• Collaborate with teams to integrate scripts into continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using Git.
• Ensure all scripting and coding practices are consistent with best practices and industry standards.
• Provide support and documentation for scripts and related processes.
• Continuously seek to optimize and enhance script performance and reliability.

Requirements:

• Strong programming skills with a minimum of 3 years of experience in Perl, Shell/Korn Shell, and JavaScript.
• Proven experience in writing, testing, and debugging code across various projects.
• Familiarity with distributed storage systems such as DB2, Sybase/Sybase IQ, and MongoDB.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, particularly using Git for version control.
• Solid working knowledge of Unix/Linux environments.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and communicate effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with additional programming languages or tools relevant to our projects.
• Knowledge of best practices for scripting and software development.
