Job Details

Bloomberg Intelligence ("BI") conducts in-depth equity, fixed income, legal and policy research on large and midsize companies to help investors and industry professionals effectively evaluate those companies and the broader markets. We also produce extensive regional and global equity and fixed-income strategy research.

Our research combines written analysis with interactive charting and analytics created from company-reported data as well as industry and government data. Our work gives trading, investment and industry professionals and other Bloomberg Terminal clients deep insight into where crucial sectors or regions stand and where they may be heading.

THE ROLE:
BI seeks an experienced editor who thrives under real-time deadline pressure in a complex, innovative environment. This role entails editing financial research to be forward-looking, creative, insightful, critical to the specialist and accessible to the generalist. You'll play a key role in helping analysts develop and maintain their franchises, using strategic publishing, data visualization, multichannel distribution and broad cross-firm collaboration. You can translate jargon and complex ideas into clear language. You'll be a key part of our growth and innovation, helping us raise our skillset and expand readership. The successful editor can multitask across diverse platforms, collaborate and wear multiple hats, in a real-time environment.

This role's hours are between 10am-7pm ET.

WE'LL TRUST YOU TO:
  • Deploy strong writing, editing, multimedia and data visualization skills
  • Handle deadline pressure in an intense real-time environment
  • Edit short-form research to be compelling and concise
  • Edit long-form reports for story arc/narrative flow, cohesiveness and consistency
  • Be a team player who can help raise our skillset

Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of experience editing financial news or research
  • Knowledge of and interest in financial markets
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of relevant working experience
