AirSpan is seeking a motivated Junior Verification Engineer to contribute to the validation and testing of FPGA designs. This role offers an opportunity to develop expertise in Universal Verification Methodology (UVM) and SystemVerilog while working alongside experienced engineers in a collaborative environment.

Job Description

As a Junior UVM SystemVerilog Verification Engineer, you will support the development and execution of test plans to ensure FPGA designs meet functionality, performance, and reliability standards. This position provides hands-on experience in digital verification methodologies and tools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in creating and implementing UVM-based verification strategies for FPGA designs.

  • Conduct functional and regression testing of digital hardware components.

  • Develop and maintain SystemVerilog testbenches, test cases, and automation scripts.

  • Analyze test results, identify issues, and collaborate with senior engineers to troubleshoot and resolve defects.

  • Ensure adherence to industry standards and customer specifications.

  • Document test procedures, results, and defect tracking processes.

  • Continuously enhance test methodologies and verification workflows.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

  • 3-5 years of experience in UVM-based or digital design verification.

  • Basic proficiency in SystemVerilog and Universal Verification Methodology (UVM).

  • Experience with C/C++ for verification and embedded systems applications.

  • Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python or Perl for automation tasks.

  • Exposure to simulation tools like ModelSim or QuestaSim.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail.

  • Ability to work effectively in a team setting with a strong willingness to learn.

Preferred Skills

  • Understanding of O-RAN architecture and 4G/5G network protocols.

  • Knowledge of FPGA development and hardware description languages such as VHDL/Verilog.

  • Experience with hardware/software co-verification methodologies.

  • Familiarity with wireless communication technologies, including 4G/5G protocols.

  • Knowledge of Digital Signal Processing (DSP) principles and applications.
