We are seeking a Cloud Engineer to support unique systems solutions for the National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC) and Intelligence Community (IC).
As a member of our team, you will support U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) and intelligence community research efforts in Dayton, OH. This offers opportunities to work in a dynamic environment, with state-of-the-art technologies, simulation integration experts, and Subject Matter Experts (SME). This work focuses on modernizing and developing systems for the U.S. DoD and IC.
Essential Job Functions:
Utilize DevSecOps principles and practices in modernizing tools and software architecture.
Leverage microservice design principles and support integration of modernized software architecture, applications, tools, algorithms, and capabilities with existing tools.
Develop integration plans, procedures, and organize resources to facilitate integration of advanced technologies into AFSIM.
Administer cluster architecture with Kubernetes using Docker, Helm, Bash, etc.
Document activities, analyze progress, and make recommendations to the team.
Work both individually and with a broader engineering team.
Required Skills:
Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
At least a BS degree in STEM-focused studies, and at least 8 years of related experience.
Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information: possess a Top Secret/SCI clearance with SAP eligibility.
Experience with Kubernetes, Docker.
Knowledgeable in Agile processes.
Proficiency developing object-oriented software in C/C++.
Certified Kubernetes Application Developer.
Experience with Modern Software Development practices and tools such at: AGILE, Kanban, Git, Artifactory, Jira, Jenkins, etc.
Excellent written and verbal English communications skills.
Ability to work well in team environments.
Ability to travel, as required.
Desired Skills:
Understand the NASIC Software Way.
Knowledge of U.S. DoD and IC tools.
Master Degree in Computer Science or a related STEM field.
Security+, CompTIA.
Experience in hands-on development and modernization of software systems.
