  • Design and oversee control evaluation coverage plans and metrics, including scoping/sampling, determining testing methodologies, and creating testing scripts and procedures.
  • Provide a comprehensive review and challenge of control assessments to ensure thoroughness and accuracy.
  • Conduct risk-based testing to independently assess the design and operational effectiveness of controls.
  • Demonstrate meticulous attention to detail in identifying, consolidating, and communicating control deficiencies and gaps to relevant stakeholders.
  • Utilize strong interpersonal and negotiation skills to communicate control testing results, conclusions, and recommendations to key stakeholders effectively.
  • Apply a solid understanding of operational risk, control testing methodologies, and applicable regulatory and compliance standards.
  • Continuously enhance expertise in control evaluation processes and methodologies.
  • Contribute to special projects and ad-hoc assignments as needed.
  • Execute control assessment tasks such as review and challenge activities and controls testing.

Requirements

  • Professional certifications such as CPA, CISSP, CISM, CISA, CRISC, or similar are preferred.
  • At least 3 years of experience in the financial services industry, with 2+ years in operational risk management, internal audit, or compliance roles focusing on control monitoring and testing.
  • Familiarity with IT Control Frameworks like COBIT, ITIL, NIST, and COSO.
  • Strong knowledge of financial services operations and controls testing processes.

  • Proven ability to navigate complexity and ambiguity effectively.
  • A track record of building strong relationships across diverse business functions.
  • Adept at managing conflict and driving resolutions effectively.
