A Day In The Life
The Business Analyst supports various phases of IT project development, from initial conception through to deployment and continuous improvement. They work closely with the portfolio owner and project team, facilitating and executing a seamless integration of business processes with IT solutions that enhance operational efficiency. Key to this role is the ability to understand and document both current and future business needs, collaborating with internal/external stakeholders and external service providers to identify and implement the most effective IT solutions. The analyst must possess strong analytical skills to evaluate processes, ensuring that solutions align with organizational goals and meet user requirements. This role involves thorough analysis, documentation, and ongoing collaboration and communication across various levels of the organization to support the adoption of effective IT solutions.

As a Business Analyst you will:
  • Act as a liaison between business units and IT, providing ongoing support and managing communication regarding system updates, issues, and enhancements.
  • Create and maintain clear documentation on system functionalities, workflows, and updates to assist in ongoing user support and training.
  • Coordinate and conduct user acceptance testing, ensuring that IT solutions meet business needs without disruption.
  • Develop training materials and support end-user training to ensure successful adoption of new systems and features.
  • Analyze current business processes, identify inefficiencies, and recommend improvements to enhance system functionalities and user experience.
  • Work with IT and business teams to streamline processes, automate workflows, and introduce efficiencies through effective IT solutions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and document business requirements, processes, and system functionalities.
  • Translate business needs into technical requirements, user stories, and use cases to guide IT project development and support.
  • Support the IT project lifecycle from initiation to completion, including requirements gathering, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Assist in project planning, timelines, and deliverables, coordinating with technical teams to ensure timely and accurate project execution.
  • Perform thorough analysis of incoming project requests, including business needs, technical requirements, and potential challenges.
  • Collaborate with business owners to clarify business requirements, assess impact and value.
  • Develop high-level estimation of value sizing and investment required for project implementation.
  • Identify GSFS-wide change implication for incoming requests to aid in value and investment analysis.
  • Develop and maintain uniform reporting of project progress across departments in GSFS.


What We Need From You

  • Bachelor's Degree Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field required
  • 4-6 years experience as Business Analyst, Product Manager, Solutions Architect, Business Systems Analyst supporting data and analytic software development projects. Preferred
  • Experience working with Agile development methodology. Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working in an Agile and hybrid development environment.
  • Strong prior participation in the design, development, and implementation of enterprise data and analytic solutions.
  • Ability to elicit, articulate and document process modeling, business requirements, description of business context using scenarios and user stories.
  • Strong foundational knowledge of Agile Methodology in application, as well as Product Development and the Software Development Life Cycle.
  • Proven experience with business and technical requirements analysis, elicitation, modeling, verification, and methodology development.
  • Experience using JIRA and Confluence to support workflow.
  • Experience in various data and reporting tools such as SQL, PowerBI, Tableau, and Excel
  • Strong demonstrated experience with Microsoft applications such as PowerPoint and can pull together clear, concise, and convincing presentations using mockups, data, and written context.
  • Knowledge of automotive and/or insurance would be preferred.

Physical and Environmental Requirements The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. While performing the duties of the job, the associate is required on a daily basis to analyze and interpret data, communicate, and remain in a stationary position for a significant amount of the work day and frequently access, input, and retrieve information from the computer and other office productivity devices. The associate is regularly required to move about the office and around the corporate campus. The associate must frequently move up to 10 pounds and occasionally move up to 25 pounds.
